MMH’s editorial coverage spans warehouse and distribution center automation, robotics, software, artificial intelligence (AI), mobile computing and automated data capture (AIDC), packaging automation, racking and storage systems, inventory management, lift trucks and related equipment technologies operating inside the four walls of the warehouse and distribution center (DC)—the operational heartbeat of modern commerce.

We are seeking an Associate Editor to report, write, and assist in the day-to-day editorial operations of Modern Materials Handling, MMH.com, and all related editorial products and platforms.

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious editor to grow into an industry voice while contributing to the thought leadership of the industry’s most respected B2B media brand.

Associate Editor duties will include:

Working in concert with Group Editorial Director and Executive Managing Editor to report and write news, new products, features, and columns for MMH

Report and write daily news stories for MMH.com

Travel to industry events to represent MMH

Occasionally moderate MMH webinars, virtual events, and podcast discussions

Assisting with print and digital editorial production

Requirements:

Strong reporting, writing, editing skills

Journalism or related editorial background (B2B experience preferred)

Interviewing and reporting skills

Deadline and time management skills

Understanding of print and digital production

Interest in business and industry topics

Ability to translate technical concepts into accessible content
