Job Description
Arc is looking for a client-facing Senior Strategist to develop, integrate, measure, and report on digital, retail, and instore commerce and media strategy in support of our high-profile CPG accounts!

In this role, you will serve as the bridge between shopper and media by supporting the development and measurement of the holistic connections strategy across our clients’ omnichannel commerce campaigns, integrating across retail media, 3P commerce media, consumer promotions, and instore marketing and ensuring synergy with national media efforts. Working in partnership with business, strategy, creative and media leads, you will help ensure each campaign is fully integrated across all touchpoints of the shopper journey as well as measuring and reporting on its performance.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid role and will require onsite engagement an average of 3-4 days/week at our offices in Chicago. All candidates should be local to the Chicago metro and available to work in a hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities

Partner with strategy and media teams internally and across an IAT to identify shopper insights that help fuel the overall connected commerce strategy.

Co‑lead brainstorming sessions with the creative team to ideate media channels, tactics, and strategies that best pair with the retailer, shopper, and creative concepts.

Support audience strategy to translate the creative audience to an addressable media audience that can be activated across media plans and work in concert with other media activity.

Support overall connected commerce strategy including establishing channel mix, role/rationale of channel, and investment and measurement recommendations.

Lead 3P commerce media plan development and measurement strategy.

Drive cross channel measurement strategy across all commerce‑driving activity.

Assist in developing campaign recap reports across the IAT.

Help oversee maintenance of investment trackers.

Advise on creative messaging strategy by medium.

Qualifications

4+ years of professional experience in shopper marketing, commerce, or retail media, within an advertising agency, consultancy, retailer’s media organization, or a CPG’s trade or customer marketing department.

Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or related field preferred; experience may be substituted.

Deep understanding of omnichannel marketing opportunities across different retailer verticals.

Understanding of retail media network (RMNs) offerings and how to best leverage 3P media providers (digital, instore, promos, etc.) to supplement RMN plans.

Passion for innovation within commerce, retail, and media.

Experience working within cross-functional, multi‑disciplinary teams on shopper-focused campaigns both internally and across interagency teams (IATs).

Experience partnering directly with clients to confidently present work, articulate rationale for approach in the context of both business and user needs, and workshop and brainstorm iterative changes to ongoing projects.

Ability to identify, synthesize, respond to, and resolve issues and conflicts as they arise.

Sound decision‑making ability rooted in agency, client, and industry knowledge.

Comfort operating with a high level of ownership, autonomy, and accountability.

An outstanding listener with clear and persuasive verbal and written communication and presentation skills, a high degree of emotional intelligence, and an ability to tell a smart, concise story using data.

A natural sense of urgency with an ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately within tight deadlines and constantly‑evolving project parameters, scope, and goals.

Flexible and adaptable with an ability to manage and drive success across multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.

Highly collaborative but independently capable.

Compensation Range: $81,225-$116,655 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third‑party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
