Search Engineer, a full-time position focused on modernizing and optimizing the search experience using AI and information retrieval techniques, collaborating with various teams to enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design and improve retrieval relevance systems and build learning-to-rank, personalization, and recommendation systems
Develop scalable APIs and retrieval services to integrate custom ML models for enhanced search experiences
Perform offline analysis and run production A/B experiments to evaluate changes to the search experience
Required Qualifications
Strong software engineering skills with experience in Python and distributed data/search platforms
5+ years of experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch-based search platforms
Familiarity with search relevance metrics and experimentation frameworks
Experience with observability and search infrastructure tooling
Ability to mentor team members and a strong test-and-learn mindset
