Position summary:

The Director of Theater reports to the Assistant Principal for Student Affairs (APSA) and duties include, but not limited to, the following:

Director of Theater shall inform and oversee theater staff of their responsibilities.

Director of Theater shall, with the prior approval of APSA, hire and supervise part-timestaff Instructors.

Director of Theater shall prepare, and submit an annual budget for the department.

Director of Theater shall coordinate, supervise and accept primary responsibility for the proper care and accounting of all equipment, costumes, props and keys.

Director of Theater is responsible for all aspects of the productions -including, but not limited to, auditions, casting, timely striking of sets, practices, rehearsals, and marketing materials.

Director of Theater shall ensure that students are supervised at all times including, but not limited to the auditorium, locker rooms, gyms, cafeterias, band/chorus rooms, and stage wings.

Director of Theater shall attend all Open Houses.

Director of Theater will be responsible for at least 2 shows: One (non-musical) in the Fall and a Musical in the Spring.

Applicants must be practicing Catholics as verified by the pastor of the parish in which the applicant is registered. PA required criminal and child abuse clearances and official transcripts will be required before employment can begin.
