Sales Specialist
The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for selling commercial insurance products, primarily professional liability, to inbound, pre-qualified prospects. This role involves gathering client needs, matching them with appropriate insurance solutions, performing frontline underwriting, and supporting clients through the application and proposal process. The position also includes cross-selling ancillary lines of coverage to existing clients and assisting with servicing needs when required.
This is primarily an in-office role focused on professional liability, business package, auto liability, and other small to mid-size commercial accounts. The ideal candidate is personable, sales-driven, detail-oriented, and exceptionally organized. This position offers strong career growth, ongoing training, and professional development. Limited travel may be required as responsibilities expand.
Essential tasks include responding promptly and professionally to client inquiries via phone and email to ensure high client satisfaction, gathering underwriting information, preparing proposals, binders, and renewal documentation, processing endorsements, certificates of insurance, and related documents accurately and efficiently, managing ongoing commercial client risk-management needs and providing guidance on coverages, cross-selling additional products and ancillary coverages to existing clients, assisting with marketing initiatives, targeted campaigns, and special projects as needed, and collaborating with internal team members to support agency goals and deliver exceptional service.

Experience and education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent required and a bachelor's degree preferred. Licensing and credentials require an active Property & Casualty Insurance License. Systems proficiency includes Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and the ability to operate standard office equipment including computer, printer, scanner, and calculator.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift 25 pounds, repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens, repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person, repetitive hand movements such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key, and walking, bending, sitting, reaching, and stretching in all directions.
