The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for meeting planned objectives as to sales volumes
and market penetration within the assigned geographic region.
All product sales will be
executed through a network of distributor partners.
The Territory Sales Manager will be the
primary person responsible for the sales and service relationships with these distribution
partners.
Primary states for this role include Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York,
and throughout the New England states. Preferred candidates will reside in Pennsylvania, New
York, or New Jersey.
Ideally, they will have experience selling to and through a distribution network, as well as
creating end user demand for a building product. Existing relationships with national and
regional builders, developers, architects, and other appropriate industry professionals is
considered a plus.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Work to become the primary problem solver for our direct and end-use customers by using the advantages of our company, people, and products.
Plan and organize a territory-specific sales strategy that supports our overall company sales strategy for a single channel distributor-based region.
Familiarize customers, and buying decision influencers, with our products and services; assist customers, and buying decision influencers, in selecting the Triangle Brick products and services that best suit their needs.
Make joint sales calls with distributor partners on potential end use customers, and potential buying decision influencers, in an assigned geographic region.
Engage in marketing activities that drive market demand for our products.
Coordinate sales effort with the sales management, marketing, production, order/billing, shipping, and technical service groups.
Participate in trade associations, shows and conventions as appropriate.
Maintain thorough understanding of the customers’ end use markets, their important customers, and their main competitors.
Immediately respond to any customer concerns and issues and bring these concerns and issues to an acceptable resolution.
Deliver sales presentations to buyers and buying decision influencers; educate these customers on the advantages/disadvantages of competitive exterior cladding products and systems.
Conduct all business transactions in a manner that upholds the high ethical standards of Triangle Brick Company.

Knowledge

Thorough knowledge in all aspects of the sales process from prospecting to closing a sale, including the ability to maintain and grow existing customer relationships through new or enhanced sales, in order to sell a premium product as part of a complex sales channel system.
Skills and Abilities

Ability to effectively communicate and develop a relationship-focused sales orientation.
Experience selling within a distribution-based sales environment.
Ability to use and manage state-of-the-art communication, data, and worksite technology tools to write technical reports and communicate with customers and staff on a real-time basis.
Ability to understand complex selling and buying environments, including impact of competitor strengths and weaknesses.
Ability to analyze and interpret sales and marketing data to identify potential markets and sales opportunities.
Thorough knowledge of exterior cladding systems and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) product standards.
Ability to travel within and outside of sales territory as required by business needs.
