Senior Elastic Search Engineer
Job Summary (Senior Elastic Search Engineer):

Design and build search applications using Elastic Search for scientific datasets.

Deploy applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) utilizing CI/CD best practices.

Monitor and manage GCP resources.

Work with data modeling, including semantic data and ontologies/taxonomies/business data.

Utilize modern software development tools and practices (e.g., git/GitHub, DevOps tools, metrics/monitoring).

Use infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, YAML) for repeatable architectures.

Collaborate in a cloud environment, especially with Google Cloud and Kubernetes.

(Preferred) Contribute to UI and API development.

Education and Experience

Education required: Bachelor's in computer science, software engineering, or related field (Master's/PhD preferred).

Required experience: Minimum 1 year with Elastic Search, 2 years with Cloud technologies.

Local candidates preferred (Research Triangle Park, Durham, NC; remote for locals).
