Director of Sales

Zermatt Resort & Spa is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead the resort's sales strategy and revenue growth initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing all sales activities, including group, corporate, leisure, and event business development, while building strong relationships with clients, partners, and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a motivated hospitality sales professional with exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, along with a proven ability to drive market share, maximize revenue opportunities, and position the resort as a premier luxury destination.

Position Summary The Director of Sales leads the overall sales strategy for the resort, overseeing all group, catering, and room revenue segments. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing the sales team, and aligning sales efforts with the resort's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies
Lead, train, and manage the sales team (Sales Managers and Senior Sales Managers)
Establish revenue goals and monitor team performance
Oversee key client relationships and major accounts
Partner with marketing and revenue management to maximize occupancy and event revenue
Analyze financial reports, forecasts, and market trends
Create and manage sales budgets and pipelines
Ensure brand standards and client satisfaction are consistently met
Represent the resort in the community and industry organizations
Qualifications

8-12+ years of progressive sales experience in hospitality/resort industry, Marriott experience preferred.
3+ years in a leadership or management role
Strong financial acumen and strategic planning skills
Additional Requirements:

Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-30 lbs
