Media Coordinator

Job Description

The Media Coordinator is an essential part of the JCamps Team. The Media Coordinator is responsible for helping to tell the story of camp through taking photos and video footage of campers and camp activities to be used in marketing materials, social media posts, and distributed to parents.
Responsibilities

Capture and edit photos of campers, staff, and camp activities, ensuring a variety of campers and activities are represented.
Capture and edit video footage of campers and camp activities.
Manage the JCamps app: daily photo uploads, weekly news stories/microblogs, maintain session calendar, schedule and send push notification reminders.
Coordinate social media posts in partnership with the Shalom Austin marketing department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Graduated from high school or obtained a GED by the start of camp.
Pass all criminal history background checks, including an FBI fingerprint check.
Obtain a current CPR and First‑Aid certification.
Be able to lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds.
Be able to work outside in Austin summer heat.
Provide own equipment and editing software.
Employment Details

The position is seasonal full‑time. Expected hours are 8 AM–4 PM Monday through Friday, with opportunities to work until 5:30 PM. Seasonal work begins with orientation on May 31 and goes through July 31, with opportunities to work through August 14. Hours may change based on camp needs.
