Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Business Development Sales Team, consistently achieving commercial goals for sponsorships and exhibit space at ABA events.
Build and nurture relationships with industry suppliers, serving as the primary contact for key partners and coordinating with the Partner Network.
Design and deliver innovative event experiences that engage bank members and provide value to vendors.
Manage vendor relationships, including decorating and platform vendors such as a2z, for exhibit sales and sponsorships.
Develop and maintain the annual budget, including revenue and expense targets, financial reporting, and pipeline tracking.
Collaborate internally with the Partner Network, Large Accounts, and Office of Innovation to ensure cohesive member experiences.
Oversee marketing and communication strategies for assigned core segments to drive attendance and support sales effectiveness.
Qualifications
12–15+ years of experience selling conference and exhibit space, with a proven record of generating $5 million+ in revenue.
Extensive experience leading exhibit and sponsorship sales, and designing unique experiences for corporate events.
Strong vendor management and relationship‑building skills, with a focus on financial institutions.
Experience overseeing multiple concurrent events and managing large budgets.
Marketing expertise and established sales training or methodology preferred.
Proficiency with CRM tools, especially Salesforce.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel 20%–50% of the time.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
Strong financial aptitude and customer‑service orientation.
Compensation
Salary range: $118,788 – $162,841 – $204,895. Salary band: $126,510.00 – $172,360.00 – $218,210.00.
Location
Washington, DC, District of Columbia.
