We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who understands that this isn’t just about content. It’s about building belief and community. At No Makeup Makeup®, social is where our philosophy lives: Less Makeup. More You.

This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, performance and community, translating our founder‑led authority and proprietary technology into content that drives awareness, trust, trial and repeat.

What You’ll Own
You will lead the day-to-day execution and evolution of our social ecosystem across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and Facebook (Group), ensuring each platform plays a distinct role in driving growth.

Responsibilities

Translate founder storytelling into scalable, high‑performing content.

Create a consistent drumbeat of education, demonstration and emotional connection.

Partner closely with creative, marketing and e‑comm to support key brand campaigns.

Help scale social as a revenue‑driving engine, not just a brand channel.

Founder‑led educational content becomes ownable, recognizable and high‑performing.

We build a community of loyal, repeat customers, especially among Gen X women.

Content consistently reflects a modern, elevated, skin‑first aesthetic.

Core Requirements

You understand that TikTok is a sales engine, Instagram is a brand world, YouTube educates, and Pinterest drives intent. You know how to create for each platform—not copy/paste across.

Taste level & beauty aesthetic sensibility: strong point of view on elevated, credible and modern beauty. Avoid overdone or trend‑chasing content that conflicts with a skin‑first, editorial lens.

Performance‑driven mindset: fluent in metrics and optimization.

Deep alignment with our consumer: Gen X and beyond, discerning, time‑starved, not interested in 10‑step routines. Speak to skin changes, desire for ease, confidence and authenticity.

Storytelling & content architecture: think in series, not one‑offs. Build and maintain repeatable formats that ladder up to a larger narrative (product education, emotional storytelling).

Founder & creator direction: direct talent, including founders. Pull natural, unscripted moments; shape content that feels human, not overly produced; guide creators to deliver brand‑aligned content without losing authenticity.

Speed & test‑and‑learn agility: move quickly, operate in a high‑output, iterative environment. Concept → shoot → edit → publish without overcomplicating.

UGC & influencer integration: identify, brief, repurpose creators. Turn UGC into high‑performing paid assets; balance relatability with brand elevation; support TikTok Shop and affiliate strategies.

Brand voice stewardship: protect and evolve the No Makeup Makeup® voice, communicate beauty tech in a human way—confident but not preachy, emotional but not overly sales‑driven, simple yet rooted in innovation.

Cross‑functional operator: collaborate seamlessly with creative, PR/influencer, and other teams. Understand that social is a central node, not a silo.

Who You Are / Requirements

A brand builder, not just a maintainer.

Obsessed with the intersection of beauty, storytelling and commerce.

Excited by the opportunity to scale a founder‑led brand with real IP and authority.

Energized by creating content that doesn’t just perform but resonates and converts.

5+ years managing social media for a beauty, lifestyle or luxury brand.

Experience with luxury beauty brands targeting a 35+ consumer.

Proven track record growing audiences and driving engagement.

Highly organized and self‑directed—manages multiple accounts without dropping the ball.

Experience managing multiple social channels simultaneously.

Familiarity with scheduling and analytics tools (Later, Sprout Social, or similar).

Nice to Have

Background with QVC, HSN or LIVE commerce.

Deep passion for color cosmetics and servicing the mature beauty consumer.
