Responsibilities
Lead design and development of high-quality Android applications for automotive systems, spanning presentation layer and native components
Develop and maintain robust application architectures for scalability and performance
Build and maintain middleware to support low latency audio and video pathways
Develop upon the Android graphical framework to support scalable multi-display applications
Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold code quality and industry best practices
Mentor and guide junior developers in a collaborative and innovative environment
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and platform engineers to deliver high-quality products
Implement comprehensive automated testing strategies to ensure reliability and performance
Maintain clear documentation for all development processes and codebases
Stay current with industry trends and continuously improve development processes and tools
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of Android development experience with expertise in HMI development
Strong proficiency in C++, Java, Jetpack Compose, UX implementation, and Automotive Android
In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, Android graphical framework, multi-display frameworks, and Vehicle HALs
Experience with Apple CarPlay and/or Android Auto projection (preferred)
Experience with Android Automotive OS (preferred)
Proficiency with Android Studio, Git, Gerrit, and related development tools
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
Proven ability to lead teams and work effectively in cross-functional environments
