Job Description
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for engaging and coaching advisors to grow their businesses organically through client acquisition, net flows, and general practice management techniques. You will partner with a given field leader or field leaders to drive results across the entire geography or territory via cohorts, multiple learning labs, blended approach to training, coaching and proactive contact with advisors across their span of responsibility with the use of technology.

Provide proactive support to all advisors in a territory or region focused on a growth topic (client acquisition, net flows, practice management). Meet a service level agreement of minimum contact per coached advisor via various mediums (teams, calls, chats, etc.). Analyze data for reasons to call to drive sales results and behavior change. Influence advisors to grow faster or course‑correct where required.

Build cohorts of likeminded advisors focused on growth in a key area (client acquisition, net flows, advice, practice management). Curate content to generate discussion in the group. Drive the Four Disciplines of Execution via monthly calls focused on commitments and leading and lagging indicators. Facilitate dialogue among peers. Effectively influence behavior change.

Engage advisors in growth coaching via business planning, town halls, leader one‑on‑ones or other methods. Assess advisor needs and provide a personalized, tailored growth plan. Partner to determine key leading and lagging indicators of growth. Build a pathway that focuses on technical expertise/upskilling and behavior‑change elements to drive growth.

Develop technical learning labs on the key aspects of growth topics alongside growth labs focused on how to use the technology at the firm to drive growth in their practice. Develop advisor champions and partner with them to deliver content. Work with field leadership to align messages. Deliver content regionally and nationally aimed at driving growth and behavior change.

Travel with field leaders and team members to territory and national functions. Leverage knowledge base as a subject‑matter expert (SME) to influence uptake in areas of focus, and present to a group of advisors either virtually or at local leadership functions.

Required Qualifications

3 - 5 years’ relevant experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Active Series 7 or ability to obtain within 90 days

Active state securities agent registration (S63 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days

Active state IAR registration (S65 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in financial services industry strongly preferred

Previous sales/marketing experience preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization

Demonstrated ability working in a fast‑paced environment, and previous experience successfully managing multiple competing priorities

Previous experience working collaboratively with a wide variety of partners

Knowledge of financial planning principles and process, as well as knowledge of advisor practice management processes and systems. Ability to influence advisor and field leader behavior

Strong communication, coaching, training and general presentation skills

Ability to coach advisors on the compliant application of financial planning tools as an integral part of an advice‑based practice

Ability to collaborate, develop and maintain relationships, and influence field sales leaders and advisors to drive results

Self‑driven and accountable

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $76,300 – $104,900 per year. We have a pay‑for‑performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic work location.

In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long‑term incentives depending on the role.
