Role Overview
The Program Supervisor supervises and coordinates direct services and related activities of the program/facility.
Essential Functions
Supervise, assist with hiring, and evaluate staff performance; develop measurable objectives and implement corrective action in accordance with HR policies.
Oversee clients’ individualized treatment planning process and provide assistance as required.
Provide direct supervision of direct‑care staff and coordinate with clinical, supervisory, and educational departments to optimize client services.
Manage direct‑care staff scheduling to comply with contractual guidelines, control overtime, and ensure fair, equitable schedules.
Review and approve direct‑care staff timecards for accuracy and completeness.
Participate in conferences discussing behavior and client progression and provide direction to supervisory staff.
Facilitate and supervise clients in daily programmatic activities, ensuring contractual compliance and professional service delivery.
Review case files for quality and timeliness; provide direction and assistance to supervisory staff; review performance measures monthly; address programmatic improvement needs with clinical staff.
Coordinate training needs with training staff and ensure regulatory compliance training is met.
Serve as the point of contact between supervisory staff and program/facility management.
Assist the program/facility director with programmatic goals and development.
Manage client flow (admissions, discharges, reentries).
Monitor ordering of supplies and materials for all departments, keeping within budgetary guidelines.
Demonstrate appropriate use of Safe Crisis Management (SCM) and supervise staff in its application.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human services, organizational leadership, or related field (associate degree accepted if experience requirement met).
At least two years of experience in a childcare or youth services setting, or equivalent supervisory experience in a 24/7 care facility serving youth or special populations.
Demonstrated knowledge of trauma‑informed care, particularly the ITCT model.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Commitment to the Sanctuary Model and trauma‑responsive practice.
Maintain Safe Crisis Management (SCM) certification.
Minimum age 21 years.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical exam including TB and drug testing.
Criminal clearance (State Police, FBI, and State Child Abuse clearances).
Successful background screening and pre‑employment checks.
