Overview
Mount Auburn Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Program Manager, Volunteer Services to work 24 hours per week during the day shift. The role will include three shifts per week with a flexible schedule. This position works in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer to enhance the patient experience, support hospital staff and departments, and engage the community through a dedicated volunteer program. Responsibilities
Develop, execute and evaluate the volunteer program plan in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer.
Partner with hospital departments and administration on volunteer placements.
Promote the program to internal and external audiences including community-based organizations.
Recruit, onboard and evaluate volunteers.
Recognize volunteers through annual recognition/awards events.
Maintain volunteer database, including years/hours served.
Perform other duties and projects as required within the scope of skill and competency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
3-5 years of related experience working with volunteers; 2-3 years supervisory/management experience preferred. Previous healthcare or hospital volunteer experience is also preferred.
Experience in supervision and training is valuable.
Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and other web-based applications; ability to produce complex documents and maintain databases.
