Owned by FOX Corporation, FOX News Media reaches 200 million people each month.JOB DESCRIPTIONFOX News Digital is seeking a Homepage and Social Media Editor to help shape how audiences engage with one of the most powerful news brands in the world.On FOX News and FOX Business, you’ll work with a team of editors and autonomously to curate the homepages and apps, using a mix of data, editorial guidance, and your own journalistic judgment to feature our array of content.You’ll also help drive audience engagement on social media by crafting and editing headlines and captions, editing photos and clipping videos, controlling livestreams, and producing and editing scroll-stopping visual graphics. This role is responsible for making decisions about what we cover on social media and how we cover it.You’re a trusted newsroom contributor: someone who thrives under pressure, thinks creatively and independently, has exceptional editorial and social media instincts, and will bring a relentless focus to helping FOX dominate and drive the news.**You must be flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed.**A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESHelp curate the FOX News and FOX Business homepages and appsUse real-time analytics tools to determine desired content placementsWrite and edit compelling headlines and captions for social mediaMake visually engaging montages, photo illustrations, and slideshowsMonitor live streams and press conferences for newsworthy momentsClip breaking news videos and identify and clip videos with viral potentialLeverage artificial intelligence tools to work better, faster, and smarterWHAT YOU WILL NEEDAt least 4 years experience working in a newsroom environmentProven ability to work under deadline in a breaking news environmentFamiliarity with the FOX brand and desire to help FOX dominate and drive newsExceptional command of language, including in headline writing, self-editing and editing, and an eye for visualsFamiliarity with real-time analytics and social media platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTokPhoto editing experience preferred; video editing experience a plusStrong organizational and time management skills; exceptional attention to detailExperience integrating AI tools into editorial workflows to enhance speed, efficiency, and decision-making, while exercising strong editorial judgment and oversight.#LI-BC1We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
