We are looking for a U.S.-based Product Insight Manager (Furniture)
to help us deeply understand American consumer lifestyles, home environments, and furniture usage.
This role requires hands-on experience in the furniture industry. Candidates without direct furniture or home product experience will not be considered.
This role focuses on turning user insights into actionable product inputs for our design team.
What You’ll Do
1. User Research & Insights (Primary Focus)
Analyze customer feedback from Amazon, Wayfair, Reddit, YouTube, and forums
Identify unmet needs, pain points, and real-life usage scenarios
Study different household types and living spaces
Deliver clear user insight reports and product opportunity directions
2. Product Opportunity Definition
Translate insights into product concepts and briefs
Recommend features, dimensions, and use cases
Provide clear input to product and design teams
3. Market & Competitive Analysis
Research leading furniture brands (e.g., West Elm, CB2, Article, IKEA)
Analyze product structure, design language, and pricing
Deliver competitive analysis reports
4. Trend Research (~30%)
Track home and furniture trends via Pinterest, Instagram, etc.
Identify styles, materials, and design directions
Translate trends into product opportunities
5. Field & Real-Life Observation
Visit retail stores, showrooms, and home environments
Observe how people actually live and use furniture
Convert observations into actionable insights
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
Based in the U.S. (Los Angeles preferred)
Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in the furniture industry (required)
Must have direct experience with furniture products (e.g., furniture brands, manufacturers, retailers, or e-commerce furniture business)
Strong understanding of U.S. consumer lifestyle
Core Skills
