Job Title: Safety Communications Manager

Location: Hybrid / Remote

Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Extendable)

We are seeking a Safety Communications Manager to lead strategic storytelling and communications for cutting-edge autonomous driving technology. This role will focus on translating complex safety research and data into compelling narratives that build trust with media, policymakers, and the public. You will play a critical role in shaping how safety innovation is understood and adopted at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic communication plans highlighting safety research, performance data, and real-world impact

Translate complex technical and safety concepts into clear, engaging content (blogs, media briefs, social content, presentations)

Partner with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Safety, Legal, and Policy to align messaging

Manage media relations, including preparing spokespeople and coordinating interviews

Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders

Drive data-backed storytelling to strengthen brand trust and credibility

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media relations

Strong storytelling and writing skills with the ability to simplify complex topics

Proven experience using data and insights to build communication narratives

Experience developing and executing strategic communications plans

Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in autonomous vehicles, AI, robotics, or emerging technology sectors

Background in fast-paced tech or startup environments

Familiarity with regulatory or policy communications
