The Relationship Manager (RM) role at Trove bridges our core administrative financial services with a heightened focus on client relationship management and consulting. This role is designed to cultivate trust, enrich service delivery, elevate advisory services, and streamline communications.

Client Service & Relationship Management

Establish and maintain trusted advisory relationships with clients, consistently upholding the core values of responsiveness, precision, transparent communication, and proactive problem-solving.

Gain a deep understanding of each client’s unique needs and preferences, adjusting service delivery to provide a consistently exceptional experience.

Develop and nurture strong professional relationships with clients, their advisors, and key centers of influence, using personalized communication to reinforce trust and engagement.

Anticipate client needs, resolve issues proactively, and offer tailored internal and external solutions that exceed expectations and build lasting satisfaction.

Advocate for Core Financial Services

Partner closely with technical teams to ensure that Accounting & Bill Pay services are executed with precision, timeliness, and in alignment with fiduciary responsibilities and internal standards. Provide strategic feedback to drive process improvements that enhance the client experience.

Maintain active communication with internal teams to reinforce best practices and uphold strong internal controls.

Review financial reports—such as cash flow statements, balance sheets, and income statements—to ensure they are clear, client-friendly, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner.

Strategic Engagement & Business Development

Maintain a clear view of the broader context of client relationships, ensuring alignment between service offerings, family objectives, and overall firm strategy.

Proactively identify opportunities to expand the scope of services—such as lifestyle support or tax planning—and partner with leadership to bring those enhancements to life.

Contribute to business development initiatives by attending industry events, cultivating relationships with advisors, and strengthening the firm’s network to support client growth.

Professional Excellence

Exhibit a forward-thinking, strategic mindset that aligns with and champions the firm’s long‑term direction, while actively identifying and supporting opportunities for process improvement.

Consistently uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and ethical conduct to reinforce the firm’s standing as a trusted partner to clients.

Commit to continuous learning by pursuing relevant certifications (e.g., CFP) and engaging in industry education to remain well‑informed on emerging trends and best practices within the family office space.

Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, adaptability, creative problem‑solving and decision making, team collaboration and strong relationship‑building capabilities.

Hard Skills: Expertise in financial reporting, excellence in written communication, strong organizational and follow‑up skills, and proficiency with core software platforms (e.g., QBO/QBD, Sage, Bill.com, Microsoft Office Suite).

Experience: Experience in holistic financial planning for UHNW individuals or family offices, private client tax experience, or tax advisory experience strongly preferred (with an emphasis on wealth transfer planning, trusts & estates, and alternative investments).

Ability to roll up sleeves and help with technical work in addition to relationship management responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Holds a bachelor’s degree; professional certifications (e.g., CFP) are strongly preferred.

Brings experience from family office or Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) environments, with a proven track record in high‑touch, client‑facing roles.

Skilled at managing complexity, leading teams, and balancing technical oversight with deep relationship management.
