Copperweld is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales to lead our Copperhead brand sales team and drive long-term business growth in the wire and cable manufacturing industry. This pivotal role will focus on crafting and executing strategies to enhance sales performance, build brand awareness, and expand market share. Reporting to the President of Utilities, the Director of Sales will play a critical role in achieving the company's revenue and profitability objectives while fostering a high-performing sales culture.
What We Need You To Do
Lead, mentor, and inspire the Sales Team to achieve and exceed performance goals.
Establish clear performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to ensure individual and team success.
Cultivate a collaborative, results-oriented culture within the sales organization.
Develop and implement robust sales strategies and KPIs to meet or surpass annual sales and EBITDA targets.
Identify and leverage conversion opportunities within assigned territories.
Design and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, including conducting SWOT analyses.
Drive product adoption and enhance brand visibility in target markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key distribution channels and strategic partners.
Represent Copperhead Wire at industry events, including trade shows and conferences, as a speaker or contributor of technical content.
Partner with internal teams to align sales initiatives and ensure seamless execution.
Provide regular updates to the Executive team on sales performance, market insights, and strategic initiatives.
Stay current with industry trends, standards, and regulations to position Copperhead Wire as a market leader.
Ensure all sales practices comply with relevant laws and company policies.
Address and resolve escalated customer concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
What You Need To Possess
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
10+ years of progressive sales experience, including significant leadership roles within the wire and cable manufacturing industry.
Demonstrated success in managing and motivating sales teams to achieve measurable results.
Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, ERP systems, and CRM tools.
