Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Champion and role model the company’s core values of
People, Place, and Character , fostering a culture of collaboration, intuition, and hospitality across the team.
Partner closely with Revenue leadership to develop and execute strategic pricing and inventory management initiatives that maximize revenue and RevPAR performance.
Serve as the
primary ambassador of the hotel , building brand awareness and excitement through community engagement, client relationships, and pre-opening initiatives.
Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure strong representation and engagement within local hospitality, civic, and industry organizations.
Provide clear, confident reporting and insights on business performance, market conditions, and sales strategies to leadership, ownership, and key stakeholders.
Oversee and approve all sales systems and platforms prior to launch, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and alignment with reporting needs.
Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales and catering team to support the hotel’s overall success.
Drive new business development while strengthening existing client relationships, negotiating strategically to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
Lead the creation and execution of sales and marketing plans, including forecasting, goal setting, and performance management across all revenue streams.
Build strong cross-functional partnerships and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, while contributing to budgeting, strategic planning, and overall operational success.
Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of hospitality sales experience within upscale, lifestyle or luxury hospitality companies.
Minimum of two (2) years in a Director of Sales role.
Independent and boutique/lifestyle experience is preferred.
Delphi FDC and Lanyon system knowledge is preferred but not required.
A bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, communications, or hospitality is preferred, though not required, if you have proven years of experience in a sales leader role.
Adaptable interpersonal skills to communicate and address all associate levels of the hotel.
Professional proficiency of the English language in reading, writing, and verbal communication.
