WMTW-TV , the ABC affiliate in Westbrook, ME, is hiring a Local News Producer who has a creative vision and experience making meaningful and memorable newscasts. The role involves winning big stories, owning breaking news, and presenting weather information accurately. The producer reports to the News Director.

Responsibilities
Select, research, and write content for live newscasts to make the newscast an "experience" for viewers
Work with and guide reporters in story production
Coordinate creative vision with a team of anchors, reporters, meteorologists, photographers, editors, and production staff
Boothing assigned newscast, breaking news and weather events
Live timing newscasts
Qualifications
Professional or college producing experience
Experience working in a newsroom
Strong writing and copy‑editing skills
Ability to coordinate several crews and responsibilities simultaneously
Experience summarizing information into easy‑to‑understand components
Creative presentation style and ability to showcase all resources and elements
Highest journalistic integrity and ethical standards
Must be available to work holidays, nights, weekends, overnights, and during breaking news; flexible schedule required
Related military experience will be considered
In‑person attendance is required
