In this role, you will lead the analytics and insights efforts for the flagship marketing attribution project for Amazon Music. You will set the analytics roadmap, work closely with marketing stakeholders and partners, and deliver self‑service solutions, insights, whitepapers, and models to advance our analytics and science offerings. You will also be part of a full‑stack team of business intelligence engineers, data engineers, and scientists with whom you can collaborate and learn. The ideal candidate must effectively lead analytics solutions, prioritize across multiple stakeholders and projects, and thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and fun environment.
Key Job Responsibilities
Lead analytics and insights efforts for the marketing attribution project for Amazon Music.
Act as the internal lead analytics consultant for marketing teams and collaborate on long‑term strategy.
Define and deliver reporting and visualization that supports the analytical needs of internal business leaders.
Drive self‑service solutions for senior business stakeholders to inform marketing investment decisions.
Use analytical insights to help increase business and team effectiveness against key strategic goals.
Build a thorough understanding of the streaming music industry, the subscription business model, and key internal partners across Prime, Amazon devices, media and entertainment businesses.
Partner with analytics and science teams across Amazon entertainment and subscription businesses.
Advocate for analytics, insights, and measurement across internal teams by writing whitepapers, documenting knowledge, and delivering learning sessions.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, or similar platforms.
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or comparable tools.
Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
Experience with statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
Experience in data mining, ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large‑scale, complex datasets.
Benefits
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance, and optional Supplemental life plans), EAP, mental health support, medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
Salary ranges:
USA, CA, Culver City – $99,500.00 – $160,000.00 USD annually
USA, CA, San Francisco – $114,500.00 – $185,000.00 USD annually
USA, CA, Sunnyvale – $114,500.00 – $185,000.00 USD annually
USA, WA, Seattle – $99,500.00 – $160,000.00 USD annually
