Social Media Manager

NxtGen Network, Tampa, FL, USA

Pay: 60.000 - 80.000

Job type: Freelance

NxtGen Network is a creative marketing, media, and production agency specializing in K-12 foodservice, food & beverage, or hospitality — and we’re looking for a Social Media Manager to help us show up boldly across every platform. You’ll own content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, supporting media brands including Served Digizine, Next Up Podcast, and First Taste TV. From writing sharp captions and building content calendars to repurposing video content and tracking performance, you’ll be the engine behind NxtGen’s social presence.

This is a hybrid role based in Tampa Bay, FL. No prior agency experience required — what matters is that you move fast, write well, and want to grow inside a team that’s building something different.

General Accountabilities
The responsibilities below reflect the core focus of this role. As NxtGen grows, this list will evolve — and so will your opportunities.

Content Creation & Publishing — Plan, write, and schedule content across all NxtGen social platforms. Maintain a consistent posting cadence that reflects the brand voice and supports campaign priorities.

Video Content Repurposing — Transform long‑form video from First Taste TV, Next Up Podcast, and From the Show Floor into platform‑native Reels, Shorts, and TikToks ready for distribution.

Channel Management — Own the day‑to‑day operation of NxtGen’s social channels — including community engagement, comment responses, and DM management — across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.

Content Calendar Development — Build and manage monthly content calendars aligned to agency campaigns, media brand releases, client initiatives, and industry events including ANC and Ignite.

Analytics & Reporting — Track performance metrics across all platforms. Deliver monthly reports with clear insights and recommendations that connect social activity to business outcomes.

YouTube Optimization — Write SEO‑optimized titles, descriptions, and tags for podcast episodes and video content to maximize discoverability and channel growth.

Brand Consistency — Ensure all content adheres to NxtGen’s 2026 brand standards — voice, visual identity, and messaging — across every platform and every brand in the ecosystem.

Event & Live Coverage Support — Support social content capture and real‑time posting at live activations, trade shows, and NxtGen‑produced events.

Cross‑Team Collaboration — Coordinate with the production, creative, and account teams to ensure assets are delivered on time and content is aligned with broader marketing strategies.

Job Qualifications

Education — Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

Experience — Some social media experience preferred — whether from an internship, freelance work, school projects, or personal brand building. We’re not counting years. We’re looking for people who get it and want to grow.

Platform Knowledge — Demonstrated hands‑on experience managing business accounts on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. Working knowledge of platform algorithms, best practices, and content formats specific to each channel.

Writing & Copy Skills — Strong writer with the ability to adapt tone and style across platforms and brands. Ability to produce compelling captions, video scripts, and short‑form copy quickly and consistently.

Content Tools — Proficiency with social media scheduling and management platforms such as Later, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or equivalent. Canva proficiency required. Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.

Video Content — Comfort working with video assets — including basic editing for Reels and TikToks — is strongly preferred. Experience supporting video production workflows is a bonus.

Analytics — Ability to pull, interpret, and present performance data from native platform analytics and third‑party tools. Data‑driven mindset with a clear understanding of which metrics matter and why.

Organization & Time Management — Proven ability to manage multiple brands, deadlines, and content streams simultaneously without sacrificing quality.

Industry Knowledge — Familiarity with or genuine interest in the K-12 foodservice, food & beverage, or hospitality industries is strongly preferred.

Soft Skills — Self‑starter. Fast mover. Strong communicator. Collaborative team player who takes ownership and brings fresh content ideas to the table without being asked.

Setting — Hybrid work environment based in the Tampa Bay, FL area. A combination of remote work and in‑office collaboration, with on‑site presence required for team meetings, production days, and key agency activations.

Pace — Fast‑moving. NxtGen operates across multiple media brands, live events, and client campaigns simultaneously. Priorities shift quickly — adaptability and the ability to execute under deadline are essential.

Equipment — Standard office and remote work setup. Familiarity with Mac‑based systems preferred. Access to NxtGen’s creative tools and platforms provided.

Growth — This is a ground‑floor opportunity inside a growing agency ecosystem. Strong performers will have direct visibility with leadership and real room to advance as NxtGen scales its media, events, and technology platforms.
