Overview

We seek a dynamic SVP and experienced leader to drive client business success and lead our agency team. This role involves cultivating strong retail partner relationships, developing impactful go-to-market strategies, mentoring a high-performing team, and ensuring operational excellence. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned eCommerce expert to deliver exceptional results for a globally recognized brand.

Responsibilities

  • Key lead for client conversations, acts as bridge between media and shopper team for streamlining omni-channel strategies with key retail partners.
  • Interpret client needs and develop strategic solutions that address the needs and goals for their business.
  • Partner closely with Search and Precision counterparts to ensure commerce plans fit within overall go-to-market approach.
  • Support JBP negotiations annually.
  • Partner with IAT agency leads across National Media, Creative, Technology, and Strategy to deliver connected commerce plans to the client.
  • Serve as primary day-to-day liaison between Zenith and client.
  • Direct the development, presentation and maintenance of commerce media plans, including objectives, strategic initiatives, updates and point-of-view proposals.
  • Provide direction to buyers and planners in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all buys and executions of media plans adhere to agreed-upon strategies.
  • Ensure a robust training program for all members of the team is in place.
  • Anticipate and quickly assess continually changing client needs and adapt resources and strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership ability to drive team to deliver results.

Management Skills

  • Fiscal accountability: oversee financial performance across clients, expand relationships with current clients, identify upsell opportunities, and take a leading role in new business activity.
  • Cross‑department coordination: lead cross‑functional collaboration with other departments to ensure integrated solutions and align strategies across teams.
  • Strategy & innovation: lead the execution of strategies within the commerce media team, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  • Client & market representation: act as a senior representative of the commerce media team, maintain relationships with key clients, and represent the agency at industry events and high‑profile client meetings.
  • Team leadership: mentor Vice Presidents and senior leaders, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and drive leadership development and succession planning.
  • Organizational leadership: lead department-wide initiatives focused on improving operational excellence, talent development, and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred but not required.
  • 12+ years of account management experience in e-commerce/retail media; 10+ years within commerce strategy, agency experience highly preferred.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated executive presence with exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to influence senior stakeholders and serve as a credible external representative of the agency.
  • Deep expertise across channels, buying platforms, and evolving commerce and media products, supported by prior hands‑on media buying experience and platform-level execution.
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale teams in the digital environment, with a clear understanding of media planning and buying processes.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, organization, and project management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in driving revenue growth and managing budgets.
  • Experience working within the Home & Garden category is an added plus.
  • Strong comfort with key retail media technologies such as automation tools (pacvue, skai, etc.), buying platforms such as Amazon and Walmart Search and DSP, and measurement partners.
