Job Summary

The LATAM Director of Sales is responsible for accelerating ABL’s growth in Latin America by developing market‑specific sales strategies and leading a high performing network of manufacturer representatives. This role identifies opportunities, strengthens distributor and customer relationships, and ensures effective execution of ABL’s go‑to‑market plans. Through close collaboration with pricing, product value stream managers, and customer service, the manager supports a seamless customer experience and drives profitable expansion across the region.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve short and long‑term revenue objectives through the management of manufacturer representatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the agency network to ensure achievement of territory goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, customers, and channel partners across the LATAM region.
  • Collaborate with pricing, product value stream managers, customer service, and supply chain teams to support customer needs and ensure effective execution of commercial initiatives.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Own regional forecasting, pipeline visibility, and performance reporting for senior leadership.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements in alignment with company policies and profitability targets.
  • Plan and execute sales promotions, campaigns, and market‑specific initiatives to drive growth.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and ethical business practices across the region.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales management experience, ideally within the lighting or electrical industry.
  • Proven experience managing manufacturer representatives and working with distributor networks.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets and developing high performing sales teams.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales management tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English required; Portuguese preferred (if Brazil is included).

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time across the LATAM region.
