Role: Managing Partner

Location: NYC Metro Area

About the role

You’ll be the strategic and commercial leader of OLIVER’s North America studio for the client — equally a trusted partner, creative champion, and business operator. You’ll set the vision for how the studio delivers value, ensure creative excellence across every touchpoint, and be accountable for the North America P&L (supported by an Account Director). This is a role where client leadership, team development, and operational rigor meet. You’ll shape how AI transforms the studio's capabilities, embedding it not as a novelty but as a genuine accelerator of quality, speed, and personalization.

Success means a thriving client relationship built on trust and exceptional work, a motivated and growing team, a commercially healthy studio, and a reputation as a leader in AI‑enabled creative delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the North America partnership for the client — serve as the senior point of contact, building trust at CMO and VP level and ensuring OLIVER is positioned as an indispensable strategic partner
  • Be accountable for the North America P&L, overseeing revenue, margin, resourcing, and forecasting with the support of an Account Director and finance partners
  • Set the creative and strategic standard across integrated campaigns, always‑on content, CRM, social, digital, and brand activity for the client's portfolio of brands
  • Guide and develop a team of 20+ creatives and account professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, craft, and continuous improvement
  • Identify and activate growth opportunities — new brands, new workstreams, new capabilities — that deepen the partnership and expand the studio's scope
  • Champion AI integration across the studio, establishing a vision for how generative AI tools enhance creative output, production efficiency, and personalization at scale
  • Establish AI governance and quality standards, ensuring responsible use with strong human oversight and creative judgement
  • Partner with the client's marketing, brand, and procurement teams to align studio priorities with business objectives and campaign calendars
  • Translate client challenges into clear briefs and strategic direction that enable the creative team to deliver outstanding work
  • Report on studio performance — creative quality, operational efficiency, client satisfaction, commercial results — to OLIVER senior leadership
  • Represent OLIVER in industry forums and with senior stakeholders, contributing to thought leadership on in‑house models, AI, and creative effectiveness

Qualifications and requirements

  • A strong track record in senior client leadership — leading large, complex accounts at the intersection of brand, creative, and commercial strategy
  • Experience overseeing P&L or significant revenue responsibility, with confidence in forecasting, margin management, and commercial negotiation
  • Proven ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders (VP / C‑suite level)
  • Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams of 20+, creating environments where people do their best work
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing — campaigns, content, CRM, social, digital, brand — and how these connect to deliver business results
  • A portfolio of work (or leadership of work) that demonstrates creative ambition and strategic rigor
  • Experience in regulated industries (valued but not essential)
  • Sharp commercial instincts — able to spot growth opportunities and build compelling cases for expanded scope
  • The ability to simplify complexity, align diverse stakeholders, and make decisions with clarity and accountability
  • AI fluency: deep, hands‑on familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Runway, Adobe Firefly) and a clear point of view on how they reshape creative and production workflows
  • AI strategy and vision: ability to set the direction for AI adoption across a studio — defining where AI adds value, where human creativity leads, and how to govern quality
  • Agentic leadership: a systematic, goal‑oriented approach to complex business challenges — breaking them into components, identifying the best path forward, and executing with adaptability
  • AI capability building: experience developing AI literacy and confidence across teams, establishing best practices and responsible use standards
  • Thought leadership: a credible, informed voice on AI's role in creative industries, able to represent OLIVER's perspective to clients and the wider market
  • Salary note: at the time of this posting, base salary ranges from $212,500 to $237,500. Individual compensation varies based on job‑related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. This range is one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
