Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for receiving all business inquiries within the designated account level. The Customer Service Representative manages large accounts, and works with Regional Sales to ensure account base is properly forecasted with a focus on accuracy. Adheres to companies common processes for on boarding and managing the designated account base. Generates quotes and orders. Resolves problems with orders either directly or through appropriate management. Re-schedules orders based upon customer directives or for other valid reasons; performs other duties as directed which are necessary to meet the Sales function's responsibilities to the customer and to the organization. The Customer Service Representative Interfaces with all internal departments and company locations including China and Mexico as well as customers.
Perform activities required for the accurate and complete generation of quotes and orders for the assigned account level. Interface with Purchasing, Engineering, Scheduling & other company locations to confirm whether customer specifications and deliveries can be achieved. Enter quotes, customer orders, and other required data in Enterprise Planning Requirements (ERP) software. Resolve problems with orders in process or already shipped as required, coordinate the required internal assistance necessary to satisfy the customer's concerns. Orient customers who are not aware of company specifications and necessary agency approval requirements. Notify production management of required "reschedules." Perform other duties which are required to enhance the company image among customers and sales representative as directed. Align customer needs to company capabilities. Recognize a sales opportunity and react accordingly. Consistently maintain customer database. Maintain and monitor a customer's forecast, usage, etc. to assure timely deliveries. Advocate for customers and ensure their issues are addressed. Ensure customer(s) are delighted and the desired Customer Satisfaction Indices are achieved. Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Education: Associates Degree or equivalent Experience: 3-5 years related experience in related customer service positions Knowledge and Technical Skills: Metric System, Blue Print Reading, Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); Internet use Language: English, conversational Spanish a plus Certifications: Sales Training, Marketing training and/or Supply Chain (APICS or ISM) certifications a plus Software: Experience with Enterprise Resource Tool, online meeting tools to organize and lead meetings and Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheets, graphs and word processing
