On Cue Hire is seeking an Associate Producer to join the team behind a fast-paced national overnight and early morning live news program based in Midtown Manhattan.

This is an opportunity to be part of the team driving live television while the city sleeps and the news cycle is already moving. The ideal candidate thrives in high-pressure environments, moves quickly on breaking developments, and has a passion for producing compelling live television in a dynamic newsroom setting.

You'll work closely with senior producers, anchors, correspondents, and control room teams to help shape daily coverage, produce live segments, and execute seamless broadcasts in real time. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys the adrenaline of live breaking news and understands how to pivot quickly as stories evolve overnight and into the morning hours.

Key Responsibilities

Produce dynamic live segments and editorial content for a national overnight and early morning broadcast
Develop element-driven monologues, guest segments, and correspondent packages using multiple editorial sources
Build show elements including video, graphics, banners, and supporting editorial materials
Write scripts and banners with strong editorial accuracy and attention to detail
Line produce live broadcasts using ENPS or similar newsroom systems
Manage rundowns and maintain precise segment timing during live production
React quickly to breaking news and make real-time editorial adjustments as stories develop
Collaborate closely with control room teams, editors, graphics, and production staff to execute seamless broadcasts
Coordinate with anchors, correspondents, and producers during live programming
Contribute creative editorial ideas and fresh story angles to daily coverage
Qualifications

Must have experience producing live breaking news broadcasts
Must have prior control room and line producing experience
Must have hands-on experience working in ENPS
Strong understanding of live television workflows and breaking news execution
Strong editorial judgment, writing ability, and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, high-pressure newsroom environment
Comfortable making fast editorial decisions and adapting quickly to changing coverage
Professional, collaborative approach with strong communication skills
Passion for live news and storytelling
