We're a Certified B Corp building a company to tackle some of our biggest social problems through a mix of creativity, inclusiveness, and intelligent software. We want to change how people, organizations, supply chains, and governments measure and manage positive social impact, sustainability, environmental social governance (ESG), and meaningful work. If that sounds nice we'd love to have you be a part of it.
We're looking for an entrepreneurial, resourceful, driven, and strategic Account Executive who can help us build important industry relationships and coalitions, assist with prospecting and lead generation, foster strategic relationships, and evangelize our platform and mission, with a focus on the United States and Canada. This is an ideal role for a sales, business development, and partnerships leader or professional, and an opportunity to work closely with the CEO and core team to improve product-market fit and customer/partner relationships.
It's also a great opportunity to learn and become an expert in ESG (environmental social governance), sustainability, and positive social impact - themes that are gaining increasing cultural relevance and mindshare among companies.
You'll be expected to own sales and deal conversations end-to-end, including prospecting, meetings, relationship-building, discovery and needs analysis, customer development, and working with leadership to help close and build successful partnerships.
In many ways this is an open-ended opportunity (really what you make of it), but will include:
We're building modern software to help sustainability, ESG, supply chain, and finance teams and mission-driven organizations work better and quantify their results. Help us profile and identify target customers and market segments, prospect, build relationships, and grow our relationship and customer network. You'll get commission on any customers or partnerships you source or create, and we'll support you every step of the way.
Communicate our values and benefits, build trust, and overcome objections. Be the public face of Brightest. Present at events and be a company spokesperson and evangelist.
Strategic pipeline development, relationship development, deal lifecycle management, closing, and forecasting.
Work with Brightest leadership on our partnership ecosystem strategy and execution.
Be the voice of the customer (buyer) and help us shape our product strategy to match customer needs and challenges.
Who you are (what we're looking for):
1-5 years of sales, business development, or corporate partnerships experience.
Passion for social impact, environmental sustainability, ESG, and climate action.
Should be based in the United States, Canada, or Latin America and have the legal right to work in your country of residence. (We are willing to consider applicants from outside the identified region, but please note that overlap with US standard working hours is expected)
Strong persuasive communication and public speaking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages (particularly Spanish, French, or Portuguese) are a plus.
An interest in building a career in sales, business development, partnerships, or philanthropy.
You're social, a thoughtful communicator, and a natural networker.
You're competitive, organized, and self-disciplined. You're not afraid of monthly goals, new challenges, and learning opportunities.
Entrepreneurial mindset: eager to advance through learning paths, or resourceful enough to create and invent your own.
Cold calling, prospecting, sales training, partnerships work, and/or Hubspot CRM experience are a plus (Salesforce ok too; they're fairly similar).
You love to learn, try new things, and thrive on being challenged.
You pay attention to detail and hold high standards for yourself and the quality of the work you deliver.
Perks:
Support an early-stage, growing, international social enterprise.
Fully remote work environment.
Healthcare benefit + Mental health benefits offered.
Sales commission
Opportunity to work cross-functionally with the product team and company leadership and learn how our startup works and inform what our engineers build.
Flexible remote (U.S.) hours
Unlimited vacation policy
Have a real positive impact on the world - we're not just reading the news, we're trying to shape and create good news.
Sound good? Great, let's build something amazing together.
