Job Summary


We are looking for an Investigative True Crime Reporter who owns the “True Crime Arizona” franchise across all platforms, from live streaming shows to podcasts and digital originals.


Responsibilities



  • Lead the weekly one‑hour live streaming show, developing and executing the franchise.

  • Excel at multi‑platform storytelling: television, vlog‑style digital content, and immersive podcasts.

  • Curate, optimize and schedule high‑performing content for YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.

  • Engage the audience in real‑time chats and comments to build a loyal community.

  • Cultivate deep source relationships with victims’ families, legal experts, private investigators and public‑interest officers.

  • Translate complex charges and trial maneuvers into compelling, relatable content with attorneys and former law enforcement.

  • Collaborate with editors and directors on “Behind the Story” segments and news previews to drive traffic to our platforms.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Broadcasting or equivalent work experience.

  • Five years of air‑news reporting experience, especially breaking news/true crime.

  • Proven investigative skills in trials, cold cases or crime reporting.

  • Excellent communication, editorial judgment and ability to work under pressure.

  • Comfortable filming, screen‑recording, and optimizing social‑media metadata.

  • Knowledge of ENPS, BitCentral or similar newsroom software.

  • Local travel required.
