Description
Hill City Sports Center is seeking a strategic, motivated, and relationship-driven Business Development Director to lead growth initiatives, partnerships, and revenue development across all programs and services.
This leadership role is responsible for expanding community partnerships, increasing membership and program participation, developing sponsorship opportunities, and driving overall business growth for the facility. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with strong sales, marketing, and relationship-building experience.
Essentials Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute business growth strategies to increase revenue and participation across all programs
Identify, pursue, and secure new partnerships, sponsorships, and community collaborations
Build and maintain relationships with schools, youth organizations, sports clubs, and local businesses
Drive membership growth, league participation, camp enrollment, and facility usage
Create and manage sponsorship packages and corporate partnership opportunities
Work closely with marketing to promote programs, events, and facility offerings
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and community needs to inform strategy
Track and report on KPIs including revenue growth, lead generation, and conversion rates
Represent Hill City Sports Center at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities
Collaborate with operations, programming, and leadership teams to align growth initiatives
Qualifications
Proven experience in business development, sales, marketing, or partnership management
Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Self-starter with strong organizational and strategic planning abilities
Experience working in sports, recreation, fitness, hospitality, or community-based organizations preferred
Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with CRM tools and basic data tracking/reporting preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in sports facility management, youth sports, or recreation programming
Background in sponsorship sales or corporate partnerships
Experience in community engagement or nonprofit/business hybrid environments
Marketing experience (digital, grassroots, or event-based)
Physical Requirements
Ability to attend events, meetings, and community functions
Ability to travel locally for partnerships and outreach
Ability to work in both office and facility environments
