Job Description:
Seeking a Social Media Specialist to support and manage multiple organizational social media accounts across various brands, departments, and initiatives. This individual will oversee social planning, scheduling, publishing, and engagement efforts while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain multiple social media accounts simultaneously across various organizational channels
Schedule, publish, and coordinate content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, and BlueSky
Support execution of social campaigns, branded content, and departmental initiatives
Monitor engagement and assist with community management efforts
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align messaging and priorities
Track and report on social performance metrics and analytics as needed
Maintain organized social calendars and publishing schedules
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment across all social content
Minimum Requirements:
2-3 years of hands-on social media management experience
Experience managing multiple social media accounts simultaneously
Experience across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, and BlueSky
Experience supporting healthcare/oncology, scientific, research, publishing, or higher education organizations
Strong social scheduling and publishing experience
Experience supporting branded, departmental, or multi-channel social accounts
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Self-sufficient and able to work independently with minimal oversight
Strong attention to detail and adaptability
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior nonprofit, association, advocacy, or mission-driven organization experience
Experience supporting healthcare, scientific, research, publishing, or higher education organizations
Exposure to social media analytics and engagement reporting
Experience working with stakeholder-heavy organizations
Familiarity with social strategy development and audience engagement best practices
