Production Operations Technician

Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking reliable candidates for a

Production Operations Technician

with a company in Erie, PA. This is a 2nd shift position with a pay rate of $20/hour.

Operations Support--Direct Hire

Shift:

2nd shift: Monday through Friday, candidate will train on 1st shift, 6am-2:30pm M-F

Pay Rate : $20/hour

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Set-up and operation of various saw
Quality Inspection
Operate overhead crane and forklift
Review work orders
Setup and operation of pre-form press for each production order
Operation of manipulator for transfer of work pieces at all stages of production loading and operation of forge furnaces
Operation of water spray descaler at ring mill
Dimension measuring
Furnace operation and heat treat
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Must have mechanical and technical ability to understand and operate machinery and read and interpret technical instructions. Must have sufficient math skills to perform required functions. Should display initiative and creative thought in planning and carrying out required work. Strong interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain team atmosphere and effort.

Must have physical ability to walk, stand, carry, bend, reach, push, pull, hammer, and hold in order to set up most jobs and make required tooling changes. Considerable hand to eye and hand to hand coordination are required. Appreciable nervous effort required. Near vision (with correction, if necessary) must be adequate to perform required measurements. Must be able to function in a distractingly loud, oily, dirty, and hot or cold environment. Must be able to lift 10 to 50 pounds frequently.
