Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a PR Manager on behalf of our client, a strategic communications agency specializing in marketing, public relations, and digital strategy across a variety of industries. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, driving strategic public relations campaigns, overseeing media relations initiatives, and contributing to business growth through innovative communications strategies. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong media expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple client programs while mentoring team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Client Relations:
Serve as the day-to-day client contact and maintain strong, trusted client relationships
Manage smaller client accounts or large programs within major accounts with minimal oversight
Develop strategic communications plans aligned with client goals and objectives
Lead internal and client meetings, including monthly, quarterly, and annual planning sessions
Ensure client goals, deadlines, and campaign deliverables are consistently achieved
Identify opportunities to integrate marketing, media, social, influencer, and content strategies
Stay informed on industry trends and proactively recommend relevant strategies and opportunities
Provide strategic counsel, creative ideas, and meaningful recommendations to clients and internal teams
Collaborate cross-functionally to support integrated client campaigns and initiatives
People Development:
Mentor and oversee account coordinators, account executives, and senior account executives
Support team members in setting and achieving professional development goals
Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and leadership support
Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and employee development initiatives
Foster a collaborative, positive, and growth-oriented team environment
Media Relations:
Lead media relations campaigns that enhance client visibility and reputation
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and industry analysts
Coordinate media outreach efforts to secure coverage for key announcements and proactive campaigns
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop creative media opportunities
Assist in navigating crisis communications and media-related challenges
Oversee analyst relations and facilitate strategic industry briefings
Content Development:
Develop compelling content including press releases, messaging platforms, PR plans, and thought leadership materials
Recommend content generation strategies that support client business objectives
Edit and provide direction on written content developed by junior team members
Ensure all content aligns with brand messaging and communication goals
Marketing Strategies:
Support and implement digital marketing and integrated communications strategies
Contribute to content strategy, social media management, multimedia campaigns, and email communications
Utilize analytics and reporting tools to evaluate campaign effectiveness and optimize results
Help identify solutions for managing and responding to social media issues
Measurement & Reporting:
Develop measurement strategies tied to client KPIs, OKRs, and business goals
Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations
Research emerging measurement tools and reporting methodologies
Continuously strive to exceed client expectations and campaign objectives
Business Development:
Participate in new business meetings, proposal development, and agency growth initiatives
Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients and business partners
Attend networking events and support ongoing business development outreach
Contribute strategic insights and content to new business proposals and presentations
Agency Operations:
Support agency initiatives and operational improvements
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies across teams
Contribute to agency culture, brand growth, and internal collaboration efforts
Requirements Include:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field preferred
Experience:
4+ years of experience in public relations, communications, agency account management, or integrated marketing
Proven success managing media relations campaigns and client accounts
Experience mentoring junior team members and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Skills:
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong media relations and storytelling abilities
Exceptional project management and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Experience with digital marketing, social media, and integrated communications strategies
Certifications:
Relevant industry certifications are a plus (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, PRSA certifications)
Knowledge:

Familiarity with social media platforms, digital content strategies, and analytics tools
