About the job
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you will open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions, and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross‑functional teams, provide thought leadership, and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You will work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal, and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business. The TV Media and Entertainment Content Partnerships team is focused on enabling and managing content partnerships and monetization for our TV platform.
The Global Partnerships organization explores new opportunities with Google's partners and supports Google’s own product teams with essential partnerships across advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments, and more. Teams create product‑enabling partnerships, go‑to‑market strategies, and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $141,000–$204,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Responsibilities
Define and lead the execution of strategic TV partnerships, identifying and prioritizing opportunities that drive significant business growth and engagement.
Develop and cultivate relationships with key content partners, serving as a trusted advisor and ensuring alignment on strategic objectives.
Negotiate and structure TV partnership agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
Oversee the integration and implementation of TV partnerships, collaborating with cross‑functional teams (Product, Engineering, Play, Marketing, Legal) to ensure successful launch and ongoing operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 5 years with an advanced degree.
Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Telecom, Apps, Ads, Gaming, Media and Entertainment, or Technology industries.
Experience working with C‑level executives and across multiple levels of management.
Experience with agreement negotiations or managing legal agreements.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
Experience navigating legal agreements.
Experience managing partnerships.
Experience navigating cross‑functional internal work.
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of securing favorable terms and building consensus.
