Program Director, Marketing (JSOM) The Jindal School of Management (JSOM) at the University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for a dynamic, skilled, and forward-thinking Program Director for its Bachelor of Science in Marketing program. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to shape and lead a high-impact, innovative, academic program within a top-tier business school.
In this role, the Program Director will be responsible for:
Managing the Student Experience: Overseeing the student journey from admission to placement, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience.
Ensuring Program Quality: Monitoring program performance, implementing best practices, and ensuring adherence to internal academic policies.
Leading Academic Initiatives: Serving as the liaison between students and faculty to create and lead initiatives that align with JSOM's mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
Driving Enrollment and Rankings: Leading campaigns to improve enrollment numbers and program rankings, while refining student services and support.
Building Industry Connections: Cultivating strong partnerships with organizations, employers, and industries to enhance student engagement and learning opportunities.

Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree; Five years experience in a related field of expertise; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience: A graduate degree in a related field (e.g., MS Marketing), or a graduate degree in higher education (e.g., Ed.D., Ph.D.). Seven or more years of managerial experience in academic or professional settings, ideally within the field of marketing.
Other Qualifications: To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Program Director should be proficient in communication and able to work effectively with faculty, administrators, students, and external constituencies.
Degree Program Management (45%)
Develop innovative recruiting and orientation plans.
Track student admissions and develop yield strategies to increase enrollment.
Attend prospective student events and student orientations.
Conduct competitive market analysis and enhance program offerings to improve national rankings.
Manage AACSB assessments, exit surveys, and prepare related reports.
Oversee the curriculum in consultation with faculty: Identify gaps, enhance existing courses, add new courses or certificates, update academic catalogs, collaborate with the Area Coordinator to develop and manage course scheduling, recruit and interview adjunct faculty to teach courses in the program, manage program-related conferences, the Industry Advisory Board (IAB), and case competitions.
Develop and maintain a social media presence, marketing brochures, orientation materials, info session presentations, and web content to enhance the program's marketability and visibility.
Develop programs, activities, and events to engage alumni, such as guest lectures, panel discussions, mentoring, resume reviews, and social events.
Student Services (45%)
Advise students from entry to exit, including: admissions, scholarships, visa inquiries, program planning, mentoring, course selection, prerequisites, grade grievances, appeals, instructor concerns, internships, careers and job placement.
Collaborate with the Advising Office to resolve student issues.
Conduct regular town hall or info sessions to answer students' questions.
Measure, track, and provide program reports (e.g., admission, retention, job placements, internships, industry engagement) to the department and the Dean's office.
Manage student organizations and program ambassadors.
Plan and implement mentoring programs for students, including faculty mentoring, peer mentoring, and industry mentoring.
Other Duties (10%)
Provide assistance, as needed, to the department and the Dean's office with duties related to the design and management of program-related initiatives and projects.
