Relationship Manager Overview

The Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for managing equity compensation relationships within the Wealth Management Client Segments division. The RM partners with key administrative contacts—directors and managers of stock plan administration teams—and works across human resources, benefits, compensation, and finance departments to ensure client satisfaction and optimize the use of equity compensation tools.
Primary Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely client responses.
Deliver regular business reviews, sharing thought leadership, relevant enhancements, and detailed plan‑level analytics.
Maintain frequent contact with clients to provide personal interaction.
Monitor client satisfaction through benchmarks, surveys, and RM check‑ins.
Promote efficiencies and best practices to improve service and execution.
Align client requests and expectations with business needs while maintaining positive relationships.
Coordinate new projects with clients and internal teams.
Engage with Morgan Stanley service support organizations to ensure strong execution of service delivery.
Communicate plan events and key issues to internal business partners.
Attend industry webcasts and education forums, sharing relevant information with clients and colleagues.
Collaborate professionally and respectfully with colleagues.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with 2–5 years of industry experience.
Strong understanding of executive compensation and stock plan industries.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Some travel required.
Organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
Ability to work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
Strong case‑building and recommendation skills for complex decisions.
Articulation of concerns in writing and verbally for stakeholder resolution.
Comfortable facilitating meetings and speaking to large groups.
Certified Equity Professional designation preferred.
Required securities licenses: FINRA Series 7, and 63 or 66, or willingness to obtain within 180 days.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
