Location:

Schenectady, NY

Work Setup:

Hybrid (in office Wednesday and Thursday)

OSP Engineer Responsibilities

Engineer routine outside plant (OSP) work orders related to utility pole design and modifications

Manage multiple OSP projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met

Provide field support to outside plant crews and resolve design or implementation issues

Conduct field surveys of existing utility poles and accurately identify all attached facilities

Develop and review design documentation using computer drafting systems

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support telecommunications infrastructure projects

OSP Engineer Qualifications

Strong experience with

telecommunications outside plant (OSP) design

Solid understanding of

utility pole design and construction standards

Proficiency with

computer drafting systems

Advanced skills in

Microsoft Excel

Ability to perform detailed

field surveys and infrastructure assessments

OSP Engineer Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as an OSP or design engineer

Familiarity with

Telecommunication systems and processes

Knowledge of

NESC (National Electrical Safety Code)

Working knowledge of

Microsoft Outlook and Word
