VP, Account Lead (DTC Pharma)
I’m currently partnering with a boutique, independent healthcare advertising agency on a high-priority client engagement and we’re looking for a senior freelance account leader to step in immediately, with the intention to convert to a full‑time role. This role is ideal for someone who can operate at a VP level while staying deeply embedded in the day to day of the work, balancing senior client leadership with hands‑on execution and team collaboration.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape a significant piece of business within a highly respected agency, working closely with a strong cross‑functional team across strategy, creative, and account management.
The ideal account lead:
Pharma advertising agency experience is required
Proven experience leading and launching large‑scale TV campaigns within healthcare/pharma
Deep experience in DTC pharma account leadership
Strong background in brand‑led, integrated campaign development (with fluency across TV and omnichannel programs)
Proven ability to lead senior client relationships and guide strategic conversations at a VP level
Comfortable partnering closely with strategy and creative teams to shape and elevate work from brief through execution
Highly organized and energized by creative problem‑solving and great ideas
Comfortable operating in fast‑moving, pitch‑like environments while maintaining strong operational discipline
Hands‑on leadership style: equally comfortable in client conversations, internal working sessions, and detail‑level execution
Must be based in the Tri‑State area (NY, NJ, CT) or California
Hybrid collaboration with the NY team in‑office weekly if located in the Tri‑State area
Travel expectations vary (from weekly if local to every 6‑8 weeks if remote).
Initial freelance engagement with strong intent to convert to full‑time
Immediate start, 40 hours/week
Pitch week: June 15 in NY (if CA based, must be available to travel 6/15)
