Global Design System UX Designer

Pay Rate Range: $39.28 - 40.44/hr. Job Description: As a member of the Global Customer Experience Design team, the Global Design System UX Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping and evolving Client's enterprise design system. This individual will deliver scalable, user-centered design solutions that support enterprise servicing priorities while advancing the consistency, accessibility, and quality of digital experiences across platforms. The UX Designer will collaborate closely with UX Leads, Senior Designers, engineers, and product partners as part of cross-functional teams. They will focus on how experiences feel and function—crafting intuitive, inclusive, and brand-aligned interactions informed by user research, workflow analysis, and domain knowledge. This role requires a strong understanding of atomic design principles, enabling the designer to contribute from foundational tokens to complex interface patterns. In addition to designing and documenting reusable components, the UX Designer will help define and enforce design standards, contribute to governance practices, and support adoption of the design system across teams globally. They will participate in all phases of the design process—from research and ideation to prototyping, testing, and QA—ensuring that every experience reflects Client's commitment to clarity, empathy, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Building, documenting, and maintaining reusable components; understands design tokens, accessibility standards (WCAG), and scalable design patterns ensuring cohesion and consistency throughout the design system
Design new components based on new requirements and brand standards and enhancement and optimization of existing components based on new brand standards.
Create and refine UI components within the design system, ensuring GDS and brand standards are followed.
Making sure design consistency is maintained with new and existing components.
Collaborate closely with PO, UX leads and other designers to quickly and accurately create components.
Understanding GDS structures and adhering to GDS work processes in place.
Essential Business Experience & Technical Skills:
2+ years of experience designing in Figma for web and mobile applications
Experience developing or maintaining design systems
Strong Figma skills to create robust design system components
Understanding of design system structures and library and how atomic-molecules-organisms-templates are organized in multiple libraries
Understating of Figma design tokens (Variables) and experience using design tokens for components.
Strong understanding of responsive design and working with grid systems.
Strong skills producing user interface design, interaction design, visual designs for various digital products.
Experience designing with scalability and accessibility in mind, ensuring components meet WCAG standards and adapt to various use cases and platforms
Experience working in fast paced, iterative processes and in an agile environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills and experience working with PO, UX leads and other senior designers.
Understanding of CSS, JavaScript and HTML a plus.
