Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Video Application Engineer with strong experience in video platforms, cloud technologies, and production support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational readiness, monitoring system performance, supporting deployments, and troubleshooting complex issues across video streaming and backend services in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage operational readiness across video platforms including authentication, onboarding, purchase flows, cloud DVR, entitlements, channel lineups, metadata, caching, VOD, and streaming services.

Monitor system health, alerts, and dashboards using tools such as Splunk, Datadog, or ELK to ensure high availability and performance.

Support production deployments, release readiness, post-deployment validation, and ongoing production support for backend video services.

Troubleshoot complex issues related to customer access, entitlements, middleware, recordings, and video delivery systems.

Validate data flows across customer account systems, middleware layers, and video platforms.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement solutions to improve system reliability and performance.

Support capacity planning, scalability assessments, and system performance optimization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and platform stability.

Required Skills

6+ years of experience in video platforms, cable/media domain, or streaming services.

Strong experience with

video backend APIs, microservices, and distributed systems .

Hands-on experience with

AWS cloud services

and deployment of applications in cloud environments.

Experience with

containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) .

Strong experience in

monitoring and observability tools

such as Splunk, Datadog, or ELK stack.

Expertise in

production support, deployments, and release management .

Strong debugging skills across

multiple REST APIs and data sources .

Experience with

system architecture validation and service design assessment .

Preferred Skills

Experience in

video streaming technologies and platforms .

Knowledge of

video service capacity planning and scalability .

Familiarity with

end-to-end video delivery lifecycle and customer experience flows .
