Join Our Team in the Prepared Foods Division as a Production Supervisor. You can expect your day-to-day to include maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

Responsibilities

Build the best team possible: hiring, training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems; educating team on benefits, compensation, and company policies; guiding the team in stretches before their shift; rotating workstations throughout the shift.

Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders, ensure accurate shipments, record keeping, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.

Ensure all workstations on your line are staffed before start-up of production.

Ensure all machinery is performing and all workstations have passed USDA Inspection.

Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.

Oversee various processing operations and work with other supervisors in solving problems.

Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.

Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma; additional vocational or college courses preferred.

Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment with prior supervisory or line lead experience.

Computer skills: Basic computer skills.

Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Special skills: Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills; strong work ethic; ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment.

Travel: Some travel required (other facilities or corporate).

Preferred skills: Knowledge of food industry processes and equipment, understanding of financial indicators/analysis, experience in budget development/management.
