We are currently searching for a

Site Electrical Engineer

to join the Grid & Digital Solutions department as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of METLEN, for the construction of a high‑voltage substation based in Akaltsikhe, Georgia.

Responsibilities

Mark the location of instruments at site according to the drawings (where required)

Supervise the correct installation

Record the daily productivity of the subcontractor

Keep daily records regarding the installed equipment, the remaining works and the issues preventing completion

Communicate any issues regarding the installation to our engineering department and request a solution; if none can be given at site

Ensure timely delivery of all instrumentation equipment and materials to site

Supervise the installation, calibration, and testing of instrumentation systems carried out by subcontractors

Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure correct installation of instrumentation devices, wiring, and tubing according to design

Implement quality checks to confirm compliance with specifications, functional requirements, and safety standards

Identify and resolve technical issues related to instrumentation installation and integration with DCS/PLC systems

Maintain accurate records of work performed and prepare progress and technical reports

Review daily and progress reports submitted by subcontractors

Monitor progress and report any deviations from the plan

Support system readiness activities, participate in walkdowns, and verify installed quantities and materials

Supervise the performance of electrical works

Qualifications

University or Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering

5+ years of experience in electrical construction projects with High Voltage

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Advanced use of Microsoft Office

Excellent command of English Language

Strong time‑management skills

Problem‑solving ability

Organizational skills
