Position Overview
The Account Executive manages relationships with local and regional businesses, protects and grows the revenue base, identifies new business opportunities, and provides marketing solutions to help customers achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Able to create and identify client business needs by gaining a deep understanding of their goals, objectives and processes as well as external market and consumer trends.
Deliver and develop effective and informed marketing solutions through multi‑platform presentations identifying Cumulus broadcast, digital and event tactics.
Negotiate and close business that drives revenue and fosters long‑term client relationships.
Maintain a proficient understanding of Cumulus Media assets and continually grow product knowledge.
Represent the full suite of products and services as marketing solutions to new and existing clientele, including station digital assets, internet‑based marketing, social media, streaming, events and specialized programming.
Manage time to optimize revenue opportunities, client interaction and successful sales agreements.
Prospect and aggressively seek new clientele through networking, cold calling, canvassing, referrals or other means to maintain a full sales pipeline.
Follow all station and corporate procedures for preparing orders, resolving billing issues, and submitting regular reports regarding sales, pipeline lists, forecasts and competitive analysis.
Collaborate and capitalize on opportunities to represent the brand while helping clients achieve success.
Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, social networking platforms and CRM tools.
Excellent communication skills.
Passion for developing new business relationships in an outside sales role.
Enjoy presenting clients with sales opportunities and post‑sale successes.
Strong understanding of lead generation and ability to connect with viable prospects.
Comprehension of sales metrics to maintain a constant pipeline of new business.
Self‑motivation with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Positive and collaborative attitude.
High energy and passion for sales.
Flexible, creative and curious.
Digitally savvy.
1–5 years in media sales background preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 per month, guaranteed income in year one with unlimited commission potential.
