Join South Carolina State University's 1890 Research and Extension team as a Temporary Grant-P14 Program Coordinator I - EIS and make a meaningful impact on educational and community outreach initiatives. This position offers the chance to coordinate essential programs that serve diverse communities while advancing the university's mission of education, research, and service.
What You'll Do
Coordinate and manage grant‑funded educational programs and initiatives
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to deliver effective outreach services
Develop and maintain program documentation, reports, and compliance records
Support data collection and analysis for program evaluation and improvement
Assist in organizing workshops, training sessions, and educational events
Facilitate communication between stakeholders and program participants
Provide leadership, direction, and execution for statewide EIS initiatives, including college readiness activities, College 101 workshops, and HYPE program management
Manage the Agriculture Innovation Scholarship program and coach Ag scholars to ensure their success at SC State University
Network and build coalitions with federal, state, and local agencies, organizations, and institutions to address youth and family needs within the EIS program
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers as necessary to implement statewide EIS programming
Develop an annual plan of work with teaching objectives and report programmatic results to regional and state partners per required deadlines
Maintain extensive record‑keeping systems to evaluate knowledge, skills, and behavior change for accountability purposes
Collect, analyze, and prepare EIS Plan of Work reports for the year, submitting all reports on or before the due date with 100% accuracy
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in education, agriculture, social sciences, or related field
Experience in program coordination, project management, or educational outreach
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Commitment to serving underrepresented communities
