The Iowa Broadcasters Association represents the interests of its television and radio station members in the Iowa State Legislature, the United States congress, at the FCC and with various other legislative/regulatory bodies and the public. Since 1951, the IBA has worked to advocate and advance the mission of service that’s the cornerstone of broadcasting.
In addition to its lobbying efforts, the IBA offers a variety of services to help recognize and support Iowa’s broadcasters. Sales training, FCC and legal guidance, the Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP), and the maintenance of the Iowa Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame and Iowa Broadcaster of the Year honors.
