Overview
We are seeking an Director of Content and Writing to join our team.In thispositionyou’re responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and management of your accounts while coaching and supporting more junior employees. We expect account directors to be well-versed in integrated marketing and communications opportunities that can help better support and address our clients’ growing needs. This role requires demonstrated expertise in developing healthcare thought leadership content, including executive bylines, speaking opportunities, and award submissions for both organizations and C-suite executives.
This person will play an active role inadditionalefforts outside day-to-day account work including new business, agency marketing, employee development and coaching,trainings, etc.
Responsibilities
Develop high-quality content with a strong emphasis on healthcare, medical, and clinical writing, including materials that support client communications strategies and executive thought leadership programs.
Serve as a content development specialist while flexing into broader account director duties, such as client relationship management, strategy development, and team coordination, including managing speaking and award submission processes.
Contribute to new business opportunities by leveraging expertise in health and medical content to attract and support prospective clients.
Qualifications
Proven experience commensurate with an Account Director level (typically 7+ years in communications, PR, or related fields).
Strong background in content development, with a specialized lean towards healthcare, medical, and clinical writing, with specific experience developing healthcare thought leadership content, including C-suite bylines, speaking and award submissions, and paid executive-penned pieces.
Ability to flex between specialized content creation and traditional account management responsibilities.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with a track record of producing compelling, accurate content for corporate, consumer, and clinical health-related audiences.
Familiarity with retainer-based client models and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in healthcare communications are a plus.

Compensation
In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is$100K-$150K. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
