Primary Purpose:
The Marketing Manager supports the development and execution of integrated, data-driven marketing strategies and campaigns that promote the Nuclear Energy Institute’s (NEI) programs, conferences, and membership initiatives.
Working across the Strategic Communications Division; including Conferences & Events, Membership, Creative, Digital Communications, and External Communications, this role translates program goals into targeted marketing strategies and campaigns that drive audience engagement, increase event and program participation, and support membership growth.
This role contributes to campaign strategy development and leads day-to-day execution, performance optimization, and continuous improvement, supporting the Senior Marketing Manager in implementing marketing strategies and identifying opportunities to enhance campaign effectiveness through data, technology, and innovation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns across email, web, social media, and digital platforms to drive engagement and conversions
- Translate program and organizational goals into clear campaign strategies, messaging frameworks, and tactical execution plans
- Develop audience segmentation strategies and personalized marketing journeys to improve targeting and engagement
- Monitor campaign performance and proactively make real-time, data-informed optimizations to improve results
- Conduct post-campaign analysis and provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to inform future marketing efforts
- Apply testing and experimentation strategies (e.g., A/B testing, messaging optimization) to continuously improve campaign performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies and campaigns with program priorities, event strategies, and organizational goals
- Partner with the Creative Studio to develop and execute marketing assets, ensuring alignment with campaign strategy, messaging, and brand standards
- Translate campaign strategies into clear creative direction, briefs, and feedback to support effective execution
- Support the development and execution of marketing strategies for NEI conferences, workshops, and industry events, including campaign execution, messaging development, and promotional strategy
- Review and manage event webpages and landing pages to ensure accuracy, strong calls-to-action, and optimized user experience
- Monitor registration performance and adjust campaigns as needed to support attendance goals
- Draft campaign messaging, scripts, and high-level concepts for video and multimedia content
- Lead the planning and alignment of video and multimedia marketing initiatives in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Support membership marketing initiatives by contributing to strategy development and developing targeted communications that promote member value, engagement, recruitment, and retention
- Assist in building and optimizing automated marketing journeys for members and prospective members
- Utilize marketing automation, CRM/AMS platforms, and digital tools to execute campaigns, manage audiences, and report on performance
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance content development, campaign insights, and workflow efficiencies, while staying current on emerging marketing trends and technologies
- Coordinate timelines, workflows, and deliverables across teams using project management tools
- Manage relationships and deliverables with external vendors and partners as needed
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies and campaigns
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Experience in event marketing, association marketing, or membership-based organizations preferred
- Proficient with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo), CRM/AMS systems (e.g. Re:Members), and digital marketing tools (website CMS platform, Kentico).
- Strong understanding of audience segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and campaign optimization
- Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations (Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills (e.g. Monday.com)
- Microsoft Office 365

This position is in Washington, DC and operates in a hybrid work environment requiring regular time in the office.
