Produce WAFB’s Emmy‑winning, top‑rated morning newscasts by building dynamic rundowns and leading live breaking news and weather coverage. Overnight shift: PM – AM. College degree required.
Responsibilities
Own the daily newscast from start to finish, stacking, timing, and producing live morning shows.
Drive breaking news and severe weather coverage, making quick, confident editorial decisions in real time.
Craft strong, clear writing for anchors and teases that keep viewers engaged.
Collaborate closely with anchors, other morning producers, meteorologists, reporters, and digital teams to coordinate content across platforms.
Edit video and build graphics to support storytelling and maintain a clean, professional look.
Maintain high editorial standards while working efficiently under deadline pressure.
Qualifications
College degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
Strong writing skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging content across platforms.
